The acting, music, directing...all genius. It is timeless and a great family film. Julie Andrews has a beautiful voice, as does Christopher Plummer. I have read books on the real Von Trapp family, and certainly, Hollywood took some liberties, however, because it's such a wonderful film, we can forgive them!B000AP04OM50A1U25J03FNEU4GA1U25J03FNEU4GJordan N. My 6 year old daughter loves this movie. She sings the songs and copies the dances and just adores the whole thing. What more could you ask from a movie. 5 stars. DescriptionJulie Andrews in the heartwarming true story that has become a cinematic treasure. Rodgers and Hammerstein's "The Sound of Music." Julie Andrews is Maria, the spirited, young woman who leaves the convent and becomes a governess to the seven unruly charm and songs soon win the hearts of the children and their father but when Nazi, Germany unites with Austria, Maria is forced to attempt a daring escape with her new family.Amazon.com essential videoWhen Julie Andrews sang "The hills are alive with the sound of music" from an Austrian mountaintop in 1965, the most beloved movie musical was born. To be sure, the adaptation of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II's Broadway hit has never been as universally acclaimed as, say, Singin' in the Rain. Critics argue that the songs are saccharine (even the songwriters regretted the line "To sing through the night like a lark who is learning to pray") and that the characters and plot lack the complexity that could make them more interesting. It's not hard to know whom to root for when your choice is between cute kids and Nazis.

Read our interview with
Charmian Carr, who played
Liesl von Trapp in The
Sound of Music.

It doesn't matter. Audiences fell in love with the struggling novice Maria (Andrews), the dashing Captain von Trapp (Christopher Plummer), and, yes, the cute kids, all based on a real-life World War II Austrian family. Such songs as "My Favorite Things," "Do Re Mi," "Climb Every Mountain," and the title tune became part of the 20th century Zeitgeist. In addition, The Sound of Music officially became a cult hit when audiences in London began giving it the Rocky Horror Picture Show treatment, attending showings dressed as their favorite characters and delivering choreographed comments and gestures along with the movie. So why resist, especially when the 40th Anniversary Edition is the best DVD yet.

The DVDs
As if the direct involvement of Julie Andrews weren't enough, the 40th Anniversary Edition of The Sound of Music is a must-have for fans because of the fond sense of nostalgia that will touch all but the worst cynic's heart. Andrews introduces both discs and contributes a commentary track on the film. It's a joy to hear her speak about the film (for example, she explains how she solved her dislike for the lyrics of "I Have Confidence"), and also heard are remarks by Christopher Plummer (who at one point refers to his being 48, which if true would mean his comments were made in about 1975), Charmian Carr (Liesl), choreographer Dee Dee Wood, and Johannes Von Trapp (the real-life Maria Von Trapp's youngest son, who admits that his father did have a whistle but claims that he was not as stern as portrayed in the film). Even with all those people involved, there are still significant gaps of silence, however. Retained from the previous two-disc editions is the commentary track by director Robert Wise, which during the musical numbers becomes an isolated score with no vocals. Also new are sing-along subtitles in English, Spanish, and French, which allow you to have your own sing-along at home. In addition, the film's remastering shows off a truer and much warmer sense of color.

On the second disc, Andrews participates in a new 63-minute documentary "My Favorite Things: Julie Andrews Remembers." But it's really a general making-of documentary with contributions from a number of principals, including director Robert Wise, who died in mid-2005 (not surprisingly, some stories are repeated from the commentary track and from the 87-minute documentary on the previous DVD). Andrews also shares a warm 19-minute sit-down with Christopher Plummer. Carr, who over the years has become the film's biggest advocate, narrates a new 22-minute documentary, "On Location with The Sound of Music," in which she revisits the places in Salzburg where the movie was filmed, and even joins one of the "Sound of Music tours" that have become a booming industry. And acknowledging another big industry, there's a 12-minute featurette on the sing-along phenomenon, focusing specifically on the audience, costumed and otherwise, that attended a sold-out Hollywood Bowl sing-along in 2005. Making special appearances at the event are four von Trapp great-grandchildren and all seven of the actors who played the children. Thankfully, those actors also appear in a 33-minute documentary "From Liesl to Gretl: A 40th Anniversary Reunion," in which they explain what they do now (many are still in show business) and share stories about the film, who was afraid of Christopher Plummer, and what they feel is their responsibility to the film's passionate fans. What's touching is how the group still considers themselves a family so many years later. Other material includes an A&E documentary on the von Trapps, Mia Farrow's screen test for the Liesl role, and a restoration comparison.

What's Missing?
If you already own the previous two-disc editions, you'll want this 40th Anniversary Edition as well, but you might not want to toss those versions. Probably the most significant omission from this edition is the original 14-minute documentary Charmian Carr made in 1967, "Salzburg Sight and Sound." Carr's new documentary includes only a couple clips from the vintage piece. It's not a great work of art, but it's a notable loss and would have made a good contrast with the new documentary. In addition, the new making-of documentary is about 24 minutes shorter than the old one. Also missing are the audio-only features--the interviews, the radio programs, the Ernest Lehman spotlight--and the historical still gallery examining the history of Salzburg and the film. Granted, this material probably got the least play of any of the old features, but completists might want to hold onto their old discs for it. It would have also been nice to have screen tests other than Farrow's. Tests for all the children and for Christopher Plummer (including singing in his own voice before he was dubbed for the film) were included on Hollywood Screen Tests and Rodgers and Hammerstein: The Sound of Movies. Again, they're not critical but it would have been nice to have them all in one place. So maybe the 40th Anniversary Edition isn't the complete package on The Sound of Music, but it's the most satisfying edition yet, with enough new material to please even the veteran SoM DVD watcher. --David Horiuchi

Stills from The Sound of Music (Click for larger image) <table border="0" It is in no way, other than a few homages, tied to the original TV series, so don't go expecting it to be a continuation. It's not. It's a stand-alone story, and, as such, stands alone. It's typical summer scifi action movie fare, and for the day, the CGI was really good. Now it's dated, and suffers in comparison, but CGI always does that. Overall, a fun movie. Interestingly enough, this version had a lot about french subtitles and features, so I am guessing this is the french export version, no problems, just thought I would put that out there. 078062265050A3CDIZ6AIHBL6ZA3CDIZ6AIHBL6Zrich02009-03-11country boy techgreat movie all around great deal from amazon i am glad to add it to my collection if you have never seen it, it is worth buying if you like space movies 078062265050A1YT5TZ2FZ9Y5NA1YT5TZ2FZ9Y5NMatthew ReichelSeattle, WA USA02009-02-16Lost in Space (New Line Platinum Series)DVD was entertaining.

The characters are not so much embellished, as they are enhanced and refined, and sometimes somewhat dumbed down. This film is highly entertaining, and William Hurt does not let down, the film is also child friendly, albeit, it is fairly intelligent. There are some cameos by the previous series actors, several of them actually, and this does not let down either. The film touches everyone, fans of the original series, and persons who have never known or seen the original.078062265040A3IP0R4JOD4R5GA3IP0R4JOD4R5Gthe masked reviewer02008-04-12AS A BIG SCREEN REMAKE, NOT SO HOT. AS A BIG BUDGET SCI-FI EXTRAVAGANZA - PRETTY GOOD!Hated it in the theaters (We were big fans of the 60s TV series and like most fans of the show, felt the film didn't do the series right.) However, when it came out on video we decided to watch it again on its own merits. Somehow, this time it all seemed to work. (Funny how some films can change when you watch them again with different eyes.)

The Amazon reviewer says it all brilliantly. We second their esteemed opinion. A superior DVD of a not-so-bad-movie. Certainly a fun time waster and if you've never seen the original series, you'll probably enjoy it even that much more. The cast is first rate - Oldman gives a finely shaded performance that manages to pay tribute to the original Dr. Smith (Jonathan Harris) without going too far over the top. And how delightful that they brought in the original voice for the Robot.
Give this one a shot. DescriptionTV's Robinson family takes a galactic wrong turn with state-of-the-art visuals and effects. Aimed at an audience that wasn't born when the series originally aired, the sci-fi extravaganza doesn't even require familiarity, despite cameo appearances by several of the TV show's original cast members. Instead it's a high-tech hybrid of the original premise with enough sensory overload to qualify as a spectacular big-screen video game, supported by a time-travel premise that's adequately clever but hardly original. It's certainly never boring, and visually it's an occasionally awesome demonstration of special effects technology. But in its attempt to be all things to all demographics, the movie's more of a marketing ploy than a satisfying adventure, thankfully dispensing with the TV show's cheesy camp but otherwise squandering a promising cast in favor of eye-candy and ephemeral storytelling. In keeping with the movie's high-tech appeal, the DVD is a feature-packed marvel, including two audio commentaries, deleted scenes, two featurettes covering special effects and the original TV series (featuring complete biographies and episode guides), the original screenplay, and interactive games. --Jeff Shannon B00003CX44Red PlanetB001S86J0IGalaxy Quest (Deluxe Edition)B00003CWU3Mission To MarsB00003CXDSTitan A.E. The acting, music, directing...all genius. It is timeless and a great family film. Julie Andrews has a beautiful voice, as does Christopher Plummer. I have read books on the real Von Trapp family, and certainly, Hollywood took some liberties, however, because it's such a wonderful film, we can forgive them!B000067J1Q50A1U25J03FNEU4GA1U25J03FNEU4GJordan N. My 6 year old daughter loves this movie. She sings the songs and copies the dances and just adores the whole thing. What more could you ask from a movie. 5 stars. DescriptionJulie Andrews in the heartwarming true story that has become a cinematic treasure. Rodgers and Hammerstein's "The Sound of Music." Julie Andrews is Maria, the spirited, young woman who leaves the convent and becomes a governess to the seven unruly charm and songs soon win the hearts of the children and their father but when Nazi, Germany unites with Austria, Maria is forced to attempt a daring escape with her new family.Amazon.com essential videoSome people may sneer at this 1965 musical, but the truth is the film has earned its status as a perennially watchable romantic-drama, largely on the strength of a fun story and chemistry between stars Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer. Veteran filmmaker Robert Wise (The Day the Earth Stood Still) mostly stays out of the way of the film's appealing elements, which include a based-on-fact tale of Austria's von Trapp family, who fled their Nazi-occupied country in 1938. Andrews is delightful and even fascinating as Maria, who sheds her tomboyish ways as a novice nun to accept the mantle of adulthood, becoming matron of the motherless von Trapp clan. Plummer is matinee-idol handsome and gives a smart performance to boot, and the cast of young people and kids who make up the singing von Trapp children make a strong impression. Based on the Rodgers and Hammerstein stage musical, the score includes such winners as "Maria" and the future John Coltrane hit "My Favorite Things." --Tom KeoghB001JRB16UMary Poppins (45th Anniversary Special Edition)630522577XMy Fair Lady0792839749Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Full Screen Edition)B0000VCZKMAnnie (Special Anniversary Edition)B000HT3PGAThe King and I (50th Anniversary Edition)163390General163379Drama404276Genres130DVD139452Video291259Biography291236By Theme163379Drama404276Genres130DVD139452Video722752011General AAS740138Family Life163379Drama404276Genres130DVD139452Video722753011General AAS163394Love & Romance163379Drama404276Genres130DVD139452Video163417General163414Kids & Family404276Genres130DVD139452Video722769011General AAS507990Classics163414Kids & Family404276Genres130DVD139452Video595062Family Films163414Kids & Family404276Genres130DVD139452Video909816Nazis909814By Theme586156Military & War404276Genres130DVD139452Video909812World War II586156Military & War404276Genres130DVD139452Video524760Classics163428Musicals508528Musicals & Performing Arts404276Genres130DVD139452Video577344Drama163428Musicals508528Musicals & Performing Arts404276Genres130DVD139452Video577346Romance163428Musicals508528Musicals & Performing Arts404276Genres130DVD139452Video908750Rodgers & Hammerstein163428Musicals508528Musicals & Performing Arts404276Genres130DVD139452Video722786011General AAS163428Musicals508528Musicals & Performing Arts404276Genres130DVD139452Video722783011General AAS508528Musicals & Performing Arts404276Genres130DVD139452Video410628Andrews, Julie409682( A )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video416856Cartwright, Angela416120( C )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video426726Hammond, Nicholas426368( H )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video427348Haydn, Richard426368( H )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video432986Lee, Anna432148( L )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video433832Lloyd, Doris432148( L )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video436972Menzies, Heather434574( M )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video441826Plummer, Christopher440340( P )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video450648Varden, Norma450514( V )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video453160Wood, Peggy451116( W )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video453308Wright, Ben451116( W )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video463570Wise, Robert463154( W )403502Directors251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video908716All Fox Titles90871420th Century Fox Home Entertainment468374Studio Specials251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video908734General908732Musicals90871420th Century Fox Home Entertainment468374Studio Specials251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video579548( S )579510Titles251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video387546011DVD387545011Format (binding)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video390121011Widescreen390118011Picture Format (format)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video405385011G405383011MPAA Rating (feature_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video405391011US & CA DVDs: Region 1405390011Region (feature_two_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video5620880111960 - "Sound of Movies will have viewers humming as they are taken on a journey behind the scenes of such beloved musicals as The Sound of Music, South Pacific, The King and I, Flower Drum Song, Carousel, Oklahoma, and the two musical versions of State Fair written for the stage and screen by the prolific songwriting team of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. Hosted by Shirley Jones (who appeared in Oklahoma and Carousel), the documentary gives an inside view of these great musicals and provides plenty of interesting trivia and anecdotes on most of the films, as well as rarely seen footage and outtakes, potential casting choices left on the cutting room floor, and the inspiration behind some of the timeless stories. On hand to present the segments pertaining to their movies is Rita Moreno (The King and I), Nancy Kwan (Flower Drum Song), and Charmain Carr (The Sound of Music).
Finally someone gives snaps to Marni Nixon, the often un-credited voice behind so many Hollywood leading ladies including Audrey Hepburn, Natalie Wood and Deborah Kerr (she even had a cameo as a nun in The Sound of Music).
I loved this documentary the first time I saw it on television ten years ago - it renewed my interest in the lost art of the grand musical and opened my eyes to a fantastic movie I'd never seen before - Flower Drum Song. And on DVD, viewers are able to go directly to the movies they want to learn more about. There are also lots of bonus features including trailers for films, Movietone newsreels, and a variety of screen tests for the movies.B00005Y6Z010AT3IKHLZJG7N4AT3IKHLZJG7N4H. Or State Fair, either the 1945 version (a remake of a 1933 nonmusical) or the 1962 re-remake with Bobby Darin, Ann-Margret, and Pat Boone? Rodgers & Hammerstein: The Sound of Movies is a comprehensive and entertaining 97-minute documentary surveying the film career of the beloved songwriting team and how their screen work was interwoven with their stage work. (State Fair was written directly for the screen before they began adapting their stage shows for film.) Host Shirley Jones (the ingenue in both Oklahoma! and Carousel) provides numerous trivia tidbits on most of the films, while segments on The King and I, Flower Drum Song, and The Sound of Music are presented by those who appeared in them: Rita Moreno (Tuptim), Nancy Kwan (Linda Low), and Charmian Carr (Liesl), respectively. Also of interest will be original casting possibilities (James Dean in Oklahoma!, Marlon Brando in Carousel), rarely seen outtakes, live television performances, and clips from films that inspired Rodgers and Hammerstein's shows (including Rex Harrison as the king of Siam). Because Rodgers and Hammerstein's films were deeply involved in the development of widescreen techniques such as CinemaScope, this documentary is savvy enough to present its clips in letterboxed widescreen format, but that footage is occasionally grainy. Unfortunately, The Sound of Movies was filmed in 1995, four years before the release of sumptuous remasterings of six of these featured films. --David HoriuchiB000AP04OMThe Sound of Music (Two-Disc 40th Anniversary Special Edition)B001JRB16UMary Poppins (45th Anniversary Special Edition)630522577XMy Fair Lady0792839749Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Full Screen Edition)B0000AM6IYWest Side Story (Full Screen Edition)163452General508532Documentary404276Genres130DVD139452Video1266531011Film History & Film Making508532Documentary404276Genres130DVD139452Video643775011Art290738Educational404276Genres130DVD139452Video163427General163420Music Video & Concerts404276Genres130DVD139452Video511448Documentary508528Musicals & Performing Arts404276Genres130DVD139452Video908750Rodgers & Hammerstein163428Musicals508528Musicals & Performing Arts404276Genres130DVD139452Video722786011General AAS163428Musicals508528Musicals & Performing Arts404276Genres130DVD139452Video284675Art & Artists163448Special Interests404276Genres130DVD139452Video410628Andrews, Julie409682( A )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video413952Boyer, Charles411316( B )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video416856Cartwright, Angela416120( C )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video419846Darby, Kim419544( D )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video428130Hobart, Rose426368( H )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video430276Jones, Shirley429340( J )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video432120Kwan, Nancy430468( K )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video434772MacRae, Gordon434574( M )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video434854Magnani, Anna434574( M )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video435654Marx, Groucho434574( M )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video438074Moreno, Rita434574( M )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video446788Sinatra, Frank444858( S )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video449044Taylor, Estelle448792( T )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video579546( R )579510Titles251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video1265183011Movies & TV on DVD and Blu-ray Disc Trade-In44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video387546011DVD387545011Format (binding)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video390120011Full Screen390118011Picture Format (format)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video405384011Unrated405383011MPAA Rating (feature_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video405391011US & CA DVDs: Region 1405390011Region (feature_two_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video5620910111990 - 1999562084011Decade (feature_three_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video617866011English598208011Original Language (theme_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video603113011Dolby603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video671505011Standard Edition603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video643791011Grade Level (feature_five_browse-bin)643792011Preschool643793011Kindergarten643794011Elementary School643800011Middle & High School643808011College643809011Post-Graduate386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video671508011Dolby671506011Audio Type (feature_six_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video1GWVUYUIGS5KOBroadway Great John Raitt on DVD and CD1IRZHJT0QUT3ZA Beginner's Choice Rodgers and Hammerstein selectionL6OB3GDV5JV9The Stages of Flower Drum Song2761556HS3RSXCelebrate the Richard Rodgers Centennial, 20021XAOV7XXIV7UAEverything "King and I"2R4P8D63B6PE9Rodgers & Hammerstein Musicals on DVD1A77LTMRZRJK9Everything "Sound of Music"B00003CXCShttp://www.amazon.com/Sound-Music-Five-Star-Collection/dp/B00003CXCS%3FSubscriptionId%3D1DWXK7HJTP76664KT902%26tag%3Dws%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB00003CXCS14162http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51C8KV3FAYL._SL75_.jpg7551http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51C8KV3FAYL._SL160_.jpg160109http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51C8KV3FAYL.jpg475324http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51C8KV3FAYL._SL30_.jpg3020http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51C8KV3FAYL._SL75_.jpg7551http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51C8KV3FAYL._SL160_.jpg160109http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51C8KV3FAYL.jpg475324Julie AndrewsChristopher PlummerEleanor ParkerRichard HaydnPeggy Wood2.20:1G (General Audience)DVDRobert WisePeter LevathesRichard D. My 6 year old daughter loves this movie. She sings the songs and copies the dances and just adores the whole thing. What more could you ask from a movie. 5 stars. Amazon.com essential videoSome people may sneer at this 1965 musical, but the truth is the film has earned its status as a perennially watchable romantic-drama, largely on the strength of a fun story and chemistry between stars Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer. Based on the Rodgers and Hammerstein stage musical, the score includes such winners as "Maria" and the future John Coltrane hit "My Favorite Things." --Tom KeoghB001JRB16UMary Poppins (45th Anniversary Special Edition)630522577XMy Fair Lady0792839749Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Full Screen Edition)B0000VCZKMAnnie (Special Anniversary Edition)B000HT3PGAThe King and I (50th Anniversary Edition)6302900212Star!
I was one the serious Lost in Space Watchers(a little older than Billy), I laughed with the robot, Dr. Smith and Wil, but Guy had whatever Errol Flynn had(charisma). He should have been a much bigger than he became. But one thing you've got to give him credit for, he was his own man and loved his family. Good for him. Watch the screentest and see why. Inspired by New Line Cinema's international blockbuster, "Lost in Space Forever" celebrates more than three decades of everyone's favorite science fiction fantasy show. With host John Larroquette at the helm, the Jupiter 2 takes off for a rollicking ride through the classic series' greatest moments--from the most memorable alien encounters to the funniest outtakes. "Lost in Space Forever" traces the series' evolution from straightforward space age adventure to wildly imaginative camp classic through its current incarnation as a big budget feature with state of the art special effects. With this documentary, viewers get the inside "scoop" on the show that thrilled millions around the world and continues to be shown to this day.Amazon.comThe first indication that this made-for-TV tribute to Lost in Space was hastily slapped together is its choice of hosts. Instead of picking somebody associated with the show, or with show creator Irwin Allen, or even with science fiction, the producers picked sitcom star John Larroquette. That's the first of a series of awkward choices (Larroquette's banter with the Robot is particularly awful), which reaches its nadir in a segment in which Billy Mumy, Jonathan Harris, and the Robot reunite--in character as Will Robinson, Dr. Smith, and the Robot--on the reconstructed deck of the Jupiter 2, and pretend to get lost in space... forever! Ick.
The fact that Billy Mumy was a producer and cowriter on this project only erodes the credibility he built up for himself by being half of the musical duo Barnes & Barnes (whose "Fish Heads" video was directed by character actor Bill Paxton). Was Mumy really "one of the busiest and most versatile child actors of the decade"? (Busiest, perhaps.) Was the premiere of the 1998 film version of Lost in Space really "the most eagerly anticipated in motion picture history"? Doubtful. But there are some nice moments pulled out of the archive. Clips from the original pilot are shown in length with no annoying commentary, and the screen test of Guy Williams (Prof. John Robinson) shows a charming man who might be described as a '60s version of George Clooney. Recommended for hardcore fans of the show who are willing to sort through the modern-day crap for the archival gems. --Andy SpletzerB0006UEVTALost in Space - Season 3, Vol. 1B00096S47GLost in Space - Season 3, Vol. 26305837465The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin AllenB0000DC3VMLost in Space - The Complete First SeasonB0002XVQNKLost in Space - Season 2, Vol. 2643775011Art290738Educational404276Genres130DVD139452Video163442General163431Science Fiction & Fantasy404276Genres130DVD139452Video163448Special Interests284670General284675Art & Artists321850011Business578316Cooking & Beverages290739Crafts & Hobbies290743Dance537510Health284677History923760Home & Garden901612Independently Distributed554048Instructional290740Metaphysical & Supernatural284685Nature & Wildlife909058Outdoor Recreation13000381Parenting & Childcare16274011Personal Finance284687Religion & Spirituality537522Self-Help1042918Transportation284689Travel404276Genres130DVD139452Video415914General163450Television404276Genres130DVD139452Video12889941Lost in Space357319011L356468011TV Series By Letter163450Television404276Genres130DVD139452Video416856Cartwright, Angela416120( C )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video425224Goddard, Mark424172( G )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video427016Harris, Jonathan426368( H )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video431980Kristen, Marta430468( K )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video432620Larroquette, John432148( L )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video433898Lockhart, June432148( L )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video452630Williams, Guy451116( W )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video908730General908728Science Fiction90871420th Century Fox Home Entertainment468374Studio Specials251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video579534( L )579510Titles251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video387546011DVD387545011Format (binding)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video405384011Unrated405383011MPAA Rating (feature_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video405392011DVDs Playable in any Region405390011Region (feature_two_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video5620910111990 - 1999562084011Decade (feature_three_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video617866011English598208011Original Language (theme_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video671505011Standard Edition603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video643791011Grade Level (feature_five_browse-bin)643792011Preschool643793011Kindergarten643794011Elementary School643800011Middle & High School643808011College643809011Post-Graduate386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video671506011Audio Type (feature_six_browse-bin)671507011Digital Sound671508011Dolby671509011Surround Sound386709011Refinements130DVD139452VideoR7AVOATMDX87LLost In SPACE!R1HFK2XEERGA09Lost in Childhood Viewing Space2RVWD1ZZM0V7GBuilding the Lost In Space Robot! www.b9rbc.com3IPWKUYK5B105Lost in Space Collectibles28QNDL3S6MVWXThe Marta Kristen FilmographyB000H5U68Yhttp://www.amazon.com/Beyond-Poseidon-Adventure-Michael-Caine/dp/B000H5U68Y%3FSubscriptionId%3D1DWXK7HJTP76664KT902%26tag%3Dws%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB000H5U68Y13303http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61J3EPVYKJL._SL75_.jpg7561http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61J3EPVYKJL._SL160_.jpg160131http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61J3EPVYKJL.jpg500408http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61J3EPVYKJL._SL30_.jpg3024http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61J3EPVYKJL._SL75_.jpg7561http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61J3EPVYKJL._SL160_.jpg160131http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61J3EPVYKJL.jpg500408Michael CaineSally FieldTelly SavalasPeter BoyleJack Warden2.40:1PG (Parental Guidance Suggested)DVDWarner BrothersIrwin Allen0012569751644ColorDVDWidescreenNTSC100EnglishOriginal LanguageDolby Digital 1.0EnglishSubtitledSpanishSubtitledFrenchSubtitled1498USD$14.98Warner Home VideoWARD75164D11979-05-185871018542DVDABIS_DVDWarner Home Video12006-08-22114Warner Home Video1979-05-18Beyond the Poseidon Adventure012569751644384USD$3.84381USD$3.8121100011ATVPDKIKX0DERhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/help/seller/home.html?seller=ATVPDKIKX0DER0.00NewnewElx6H%2BADLmX7u0HGsja8vP0bKZwS8pZXyYty9H4iNGoaQSMGoX14nf7fRnbAUGWEgdalBAbjYlvF9z3aJ2cRrw%3D%3D1349USD$13.49149USD$1.4910Usually ships in 24 hoursnow00-113.0439B000H5U68Y30A6VXZ1EEPRTLVA6VXZ1EEPRTLVtrebe02009-06-21salvage mission . . .Producer Irwin Allen's, The Poseidon Adventure (1972) was a massive hit that helped fuel the `disaster movie' fad in the 70's. In 1979, sequels were not as common as they are now, but with the success of the original film, and the wave of popularity of disaster films, Beyond the Poseidon Adventure probably seemed like an intriguing project.

Unlike author Paul Gallico's novel, the film version of Beyond the Poseidon Adventure features an entirely new set of characters aboard the overturned luxury liner. Approximately five hours after the original survivors were rescued, two groups board the ship together. One is a salvage operation led by tugboat captain Mike Turner (Michael Caine), his crewman Wilbur (Karl Malden) and Celeste Whitman (Sally Field). The second group is a medical team under the command of Captain Stefan Svevo (Telly Savalas), supposedly on a mission of mercy, they are actually after a cargo of plutonium aboard the Poseidon. Along the way the rescuers discover additional survivors, pursue divergent goals, and face a variety of dangers.

While a decent action adventure, for many reasons Beyond the Poseidon Adventure pales in comparison to the original film. The writing is not as good, and the characters are not as compelling or well developed, and some of the dialog is just awful. The setting of a capsized ship is no longer unfamiliar territory, and with many of the elements of surprise gone, there isn't a lot of tension or real suspense. The survivors exhibit little genuine fear, with both Turner and Svevo proceeding confidently throughout the ship.

While The Poseidon Adventure was directed by Ronald Neame and produced by Irwin Allen, this time Allen is both producer and director. Allen's successful television career was largely built on science fiction adventures that featured action sequences and special effects. His programs were mostly entertaining and often fantasies where realism was not always a strong point. While directing action was his strength, he had less experience in general direction. Leave it to Allen to feature a firefight with automatic weapons in the ship's hold. Fortunately, the barrel with the plutonium isn't hit by a stray bullet. Throughout the film, explosions (utilizing footage from the original film) are repeatedly used to stir things up, or trigger a crisis. There are a couple of nice scenes featuring objects crashing through decks, but some of the action scenes are rather tame or plain silly, like jumping across an opening in the floor. It is remarkable that electrical power is still available, miraculously keeping the ship very well lighted most of the time. The original film is lighted much differently. But where are the sources of light? In the upside down vessel, the light fixtures should be either on the floor, or on the wall near the floor, but few are seen. It is not shown on screen, but Svevo's crew cuts another hole in the ship's hull in order to remove the cargo they came for. The underwater escape by Turner's group from the Poseidon is unexciting, and though they manage to surface in the same spot, somehow Wilbur is lost. Amazingly, although under rifle fire at close range, only one of the survivors is killed swimming to Turner's tugboat. Even a blind man (Jack Warden) makes it to safety. Fortunately, Turner's tug is apparently bulletproof. As the tug speeds away, the good ship Poseidon finally explodes (in a truly unimpressive fashion), destroying Svevo's group, and doing who knows what to that deadly plutonium.

The mostly familiar cast makes for some interesting viewing, as they face danger and physical hardships. Svevo comes off as a cold, brooding and pompous Bond type villain (Savalas was Ernst Stavro Blofeld in On Her Majesty's Secret Service), who delivers his lines magnificently. Peter Boyle as passenger Frank Mazzetti, has a role similar to Ernest Borgnine's Rogo, as the overbearing, continuous questioner of authority, but when the chips are on the line he does not hesitate to act. Wilber (Malden) is hampered by health problems, and can't do very much. Ex-UCLA quarterback Mark Harmon (NCIS), steps up strongly into the starting lineup in the later parts of the film. Slim Pickens is typecast as a cowboy type. Angela Cartwright who worked on Allen's Lost in Space as a child, looks younger than 27 here. The Turner and Whitman relationship starts out rough, doesn't seem to gel, and then fades into the background. Sally Field won the best actress Oscar for Norma Rae this same year (1979), and does what she can with a role that has some very awkward dialog, such as `I hate to be called monkey'. Despite having the `shortest legs' Field more than holds her own in taking on the physical challenges. As Turner, Michael Caine is rather abrasive throughout, not always likeable, but definitely a leader.
The extras include the trailer, and a 20 minute behind the scenes feature that although mostly a puff piece, does contain some interesting information and insight into how Irwin Allen worked. The sequel to The Poseidon Adventure is a mildly exciting action adventure, with a rather weak ending, that may be of interest to fans of the original film, Irwin Allen, or disaster films in general.

Being the first big screen action packed flick i'd ever seen..it was HUGE!
When this sequal came out in august of 1979 I was first in line!..wow..what an aweful movie. their was no thought, special effects acting, script or much of any of Irwin Allens talents in this...what happened?? budget problems? what? it was filmed with such a low cost feel too it, lots of stock footage from the original, poor set designs! I wish Irwin would have made a sequal to the book that Paul Gallico did focusing on the aftermath and used the characters from the original film instead of all these top stars of the day and altered the story so much.
I still pop it in and watch it from time to time and keep hopeing i'll find something good about it...
B000H5U68Y30A220FJEQNGMSRNA220FJEQNGMSRNTrevor WillsmerLondon, England02008-01-17Not a complete washout"I knew it! I knew my luck couldn't be that bad! Nothing was going to get worse because nothing could've!" Wrong again. A couple of years after swearing nothing on Earth would make him leave the UK, Michael Caine went into tax exile in Hollywood and signed up for a slew of "But it looked good on paper" pictures, getting off to an inauspicious start with the now forgotten period comedy Harry and Walter Go to New York, a huge flop so horrendously expensive that it very nearly bankrupted Columbia Pictures if they hadn't been bailed out by a consortium of German dentists. He must have thought his luck had changed when he signed for not one but two Irwin Allen disaster movies - after all, The Poseidon Adventure and The Towering Inferno had been massive hits, so this was the big leagues at last. After The Swarm was met with worldwide ridicule and disastrous box-office, a lesser man might have cut his losses, but being a man who doesn't have the words 'no' or 'quality control' in his vocabulary, Caine went ahead and made Beyond the Poseidon Adventure anyway. Still, it could have been worse. He could have stuck around for Allen's career-killing volcano flick When Time Ran Out as well.

Lured away from his old stamping ground 20th Century Fox to Warner Bros with the promise of less studio interference (read quality control), bigger budgets and the chance to direct his films as well, even Spielberg would envy the kind of absolute unquestioned power 'master of disaster' Allen enjoyed on the lot in the late Seventies, but the blank check resulted in three massive and much-ridiculed flops in a row. This was number two. Allen's belated and quickly forgotten sequel to his 1972 blockbuster has a bigger budget than its predecessor and an even sillier plot, yet as a guilty pleasure it's a surprisingly enjoyable brain-off time-filler. Discarding the plot of Gallico's novel, itself written as a direct sequel to the film rather than his original novel, the film sees Michael Caine's tough tugboat captain (yes, it's a stretch) and his crew of two, Karl Malden and Sally Field, seeing a way out of impending bankruptcy by staking claim to the salvage rights to the capsized liner but having more luck saving another handful of survivors than holding onto their loot while finding themselves in competition with a rival group of 'rescuers.' Of course, we know they're really baddies - they're wearing white, they're polite and they're lead by Telly Savalas in Ernst Stavro Blofeld mode, posing as a doctor but really in search of the Poseidon's cargo of plutonium. No, really. How else could you include gun battles and an axe-killing in a disaster movie? Not that Gallico's novel wasn't sillier still - that featured a tiger on the loose below decks!

The characters are all of the stock variety - Malden plays the Walter Brennan role as the terminally-ill sidekick, Sally Field the Jean Arthuresque tomboy, Jack Warden the gruff blind writer and Shirley Knight his protective wife, Slim Pickens and his priceless bottle of vintage wine the hearty comic relief, Peter Boyle's 'Sarge' the over-protective father (a character drawn from Gallico's first Poseidon novel that didn't make it into the original film), Veronica Hamel the bad girl in a good dress, Shirley Jones the kind-hearted nurse and a young Mark Harmon, looking like Tom Cruise's not-too-bright and less talented older brother, sharing the juvenile romantic lead with Lost in Space veteran Angela Cartwright. Yet while no-one troubled the Oscar nominations, the performances aren't particularly bad even if Caine wouldn't top anybody's list as a ruthless old seadog, and there's nothing quite as camp as Shelley Winters and her aquatic escapades in the original: rather than an unintentional laugh-riot, for the most part this is professionally well-made nonsense.

The lousy back-projection and hosed on water in the opening storm sequence do bode ill, but once it's shipboard the production values visibly improve (it's well photographed by Joseph Biroc and nicely designed by Preston Ames), though the film makes surprisingly little of the upside down sets and, unlike the original, there's no sense of the rising water cutting off their way back to up the tension. Here the water mainly seems to rush by rather than climb up. Perhaps still feeling the critics' stings at his bee movie, this time the script offers few hostages to fortune - dialogue like "Last night was the worst New Years' Eve party I've ever been to!" or "Oh my gosh! I just shot one of them!" "Well shoot another one!" is at least meant to be funny - but, like The Swarm, there's evidence that this went through some last-minute cuts before hitting theatres: one major character even completely disappears near the end. Still, there's some novelty in having two rival groups working their way in to the ship and climbing down to the top rather than up to the bottom. And talking of bottoms, Allen ensures that Sally Field spends about half her scenes with her back turned to the camera to emphasis how tight her wet jeans are...

The DVD doesn't include any of the deleted scenes from the TV version, though one of them does turn up on the 22-minute making of documentary included on the disc that includes ample footage of Irwin Allen hamming it up for the cameras as well as some chaotic production footage from the surface scenes. B000H5U68Y40A1X7FS1H4R02W1A1X7FS1H4R02W1Christine Andersen02007-09-18I like this movieOf couse the stars are changed, but Michael Caine, and Sally Feild, are a nice change.DescriptionA monstrous tidal has left the luxury liner Poseidon capsized mid-ocean and its few survivors struggling to reach safety in an upside-down world. But The Poseidon Adventure was only the thrilling start. You must go Beyond the Poseidon Adventure to complete the white-knuckle suspense. Under producer/director Irwin Allen, Michael Caine and Sally Field head an all-star cast caught in the crippled craft's flaming corridors and bursting bulwarks. Tug skipper Caine, first mate Karl Malden and passenger Field enter the foundering vessel hoping for salvage rights, miraclulously finding more survivors. But others have come aboard, led by sinister Dr. Stefan Svevo (Telly Savalas). He wants a priceless cargo of plutonium - and will kill for his plunder!
DVD Features:
Additional Scenes
Featurette
Theatrical Trailer:Disaster movie trailers

Amazon.comWhen Maureen McGovern sang the torchy hit "The Morning After" in the original Poseidon Adventure, this probably wasn't what she had in mind. But for viewers, this post-disaster disaster film--which takes place immediately after the original Poseidon capsized--is fearlessly campy and surprisingly entertaining. As per the recipe for '70s catastrophe movies, Beyond the Poseidon Adventure (directed and produced by the original's Irwin Allen) boasts a top-notch ensemble cast. Michael Caine is the crusty, opportunistic tug captain who comes across the wreck of the Poseidon and immediately declares, "Salvage! Salvage is our salvation." Along for the ride on Caine's tug are Karl Malden and a still ingénue-ish Sally Field. They meet up mid-ocean with the suave doctor/rescuer Telly Savalas, who may not be all he says he is. And inside the wreck, incredibly, there are survivors. The film may follow a fairly predictable formula by this time (1979), but it's fun nonetheless. The effects are just right, there's plenty of treachery and tension to keep things moving along merrily, and the capsizing of the boat means the set consists of upside-down ship innards (blessedly, this also means the shag carpeting is on the ceiling, rarely seen). Families and couples are wrenched apart, unscrupulous bastards reveal hearts of gold, and the plucky ones (almost) always survive. Among the rest of the cast are Shirley Jones as the Poseidon's nurse, Peter Boyle as a passenger and concerned dad, and a baby-faced Mark Harmon as a farming kid from "back home" in Iowa, cute as the early-years Beatles. Extras include a vintage making-of featurette (perms! elephant bells!) and a montage of the era's disaster-film trailers, a movie-buff time capsule in itself. --A.T. It seems like many people are finding BIG PROBLEMS with this DVD collecton. DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THEM! This DVD set is in NO WAY the disappointment that others here have described. They do not know what they are talking about.

Big deal that this collection comes from the syndicated version of the show. The fact is, this show ran in syndication as early as the 60's, long before the commercials were running longer than the show. When you watch these great episodes, occasionally a scene will fade sooner than the original airing to skip past a few seconds of music that came before a commercial break. But when the scene comes back, it is obvious that you are at the same spot in the story and have not missed ANY of the dialogue.

Throughout these episodes in this DVD set, the continuity is all there, all of the lines are there and NOTHING of any importance has been cut out... only a few seconds of music here and there which used to be the longer fades to commercials. For the veiwers convenience, for those who want to watch a Danny Thomas marathion, the theme song is heard only at the beginning of each cd and NOT before every episode.

The picture and sound quality are EXCELLENT and only VERY rarely does a scene miss a split second of sound or part of a word due to a splice in the source material.

DO NOT FEAR when ordering this fantastic collection. For those of you who used to watch this series as a child, tears will come to your eyes during the first episode as you rejoin this wonderful tv family after having been away from them so long... the joy, the tempers, the music, the clowning, the mischief. I had forgotten just how much I loved these characters as well as the actors and actresses who had protrayed them! And the writers are the best! These shows are genuinely funny, promote good morals and sound family values unlike the pure GARBAGE sit com's that air today in prime time, whose writers are as morally bankrupt as the trash they write.

Unless you are a purist fanatic who must hear the last stroke of a violin bow in filler music before the commercial breaks... and unless you desperately fear the picture fading to black once in a great while to end a scene which comes back right where it left off... YOU WILL LOVE this DVD collection! Six DVD's with 6 episodes each, plus great bonus material!

I bought this from a seller here at Amazon for $9.99 plus a few bucks for shipping. If that kind of bargain is not good enough for some cry babies here, that is THEIR problem. Just make sure that they do not keep YOU from enjoying this FANTASTIC DVD collection of this wonderful show!!B0002PUFW639ARMWTU2IDP4H5ARMWTU2IDP4H5Harry OhsiekSalt Lake City, UT102006-05-05love the show, when will more seasons be released? After looking at other reviews, I didnt realize the episodes are edited. I feel kind of cheated! But then again I must've only seen them edited in syndication back in the '80's & early '90's. This was the most popular version & cast lineup & popular of the entire 11 season run & of the final 7 seasons when moved to CBS. (Why did Sherry Jackson have to quit after season 5 or why was Terry written out & why couldn't Miss Jackson come back for Terry's wedding in season 7 instead of unknown Penny Parker thus not being able to show flashback's when Terry was younger. Was Miss Parker's Terry older than Miss Jackson's or did Terry get courted & married at age 18?) It's great to see again after an abscence of 13-14 years after Nick at Nite discontinued showing after Mr. Thomas passed away spring '91. By the way Nick at Nite from what I remember only showed seasons 5-8. I had never seen an episode beyond that until summer '90 when an independent station where I was living at the time continued to season 9 (Angela Cartwright starts to look more & more like Brigita Von Trapp & Penny Robinson instead of 5yo Linda Williams & Rusty Hamer's Rusty Williams has gone through puberty & his voice has changed). I didnt know that the Williams moved into two more apartments or condos & the sets were different for seasons 8 & 9. But partway into season 9 Nick at Nite must've discovered someone else was broadcasting on free antenna tv & bought out all syndicated rights because that channel stopped showing. I had never seen the first version or ABC version until I bought the inexpensive samplers of the first 3 seasons. I always thought of oldest child Terry as a teen & figured from pictures of season 1 that she must've been a younger girl at one time & Rusty Hamer was predessor of Angela Cartwright as the youngest cutest one who gets all the attention. I can see why season 5 was the first to be available to the public because that's also the first season of the CBS years & cast lineup that most people of my generation who grew up watching reruns in the '70's & '80's are familiar with. I didnt know there was an earlier version until about '87 or '88 when I checked out a tv trivia book at a local library & that's when I wondered why is Linda older than Rusty & Rusty so young? Even if each is edited, when are the first four seasons, in a different apartment & set w/Terry & Rusty's birth mother, going to be released? How about also rereleasing season 5 unedited? I'll gladly pay another $50 & sell the edited set even though I'll probably only get $5 for it. Can season 6 at least be released sometime soon & the remaining Marjorie Lord seasons annually afterwards even if edited? You know I wonder if the first 3 seasons were never shown in syndication or on Nick at Nite or not available because the samplers include original footage of tobacco companies presenting & sponsoring in the first season opening credits?
But anyway, I suppose it's recommended if you love this show, even if it's only the first version, or it's your first time & dying to see, to purchase this set. It's better than nothing & it wouldn't suprise me Questar & Mr. Thomas' surviving family decide to soon remove from the market & consider this entire series out-of-print & secured in a vault permanently. By the way, if you love the cast besides "Sound of Music" & "Lost in Space" I also recommend the following: "Singin' in the Rain" (& I thought that was actually the way Miss Hagen talked until I saw a first version episode for the first time) "I'll See You in my Dreams" "The Jazz Singer" (original '40's version if not out of print, not the retarded '80 remake) " "Batman ('66-'68) season 1" and "Charlie's Angels season 4" (when these are released) One last thought: what about releasing two followup reunions? '67's pilot "Make More Room for Daddy" & the short-lived "Make Room for Grandaddy" ('70-'71 w/original CBS cast including Sherry Jackson) B0002PUFW653A2CG0ZWZ24FDN9A2CG0ZWZ24FDN9giomariaSt. George, Ontario102005-08-30Danny Thomas is the BestI have waited for years for the "Make room for Daddy" series to become available. Hernandez02009-05-07High School USACrazy high school movie featuring 80's icons from NBC shows starring Michael J. Fox, Nancy Mckeon, Todd Bridges and Crispin Glover as geeks vs. preppies that has them at war with each other. Not the greatest movie of all time but had its moments. Unfortunately, this movie belongs in the 80's.B0001WTVGG40AC1NNWMSGWD2LAC1NNWMSGWD2LjuanjuneUSA02006-09-18What's this????I've never heard of this movie before. I liked Michael J. Fox from his Family Ties days. This looked like a funny and interesting movie to watch. Which it was by the way. I don't suggest buying this because this is not something you would watch more than once in my opinion. I think it would be better to rent it if you want to watch it. Still a good movie. B0001WTVGG53A6R7IC27KU9DYA6R7IC27KU9DYSWN213StephenChicago, IL USA32005-12-21An old favorite brought back...My older brother taped this off of TV years ago and it always became a running joke amongst myself and my siblings. I was so excited to see it put onto DVD. The movie itself is pure camp, but that it what makes it so enjoyable. It is the epitome of 80's made-for-tv-movies with all the great stars of that time. I highly recommend this for a laugh.B0000DZ3GQMidnight MadnessB00013WWT8Just One of the GuysB0010AN7XQZapped!B000068TPBTeen Wolf & Teen Wolf TooB000FZETKCSome Kind of Wonderful (Special Collector's Edition)163371General163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video291183Opposites Attract291103By Theme163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video291142Underdogs291103By Theme163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video291190School Days163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video291120Teen163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video722749011General AAS291208Television163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video163390General163379Drama404276Genres130DVD139452Video722754011General AAS291513Television163379Drama404276Genres130DVD139452Video415914General163450Television404276Genres130DVD139452Video1081760114-for-3 Comedy1081720114-for-3 DVD251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video1081770114-for-3 Drama1081720114-for-3 DVD251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video1693950114-for-3 All DVDs1081720114-for-3 DVD251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video412842Bernard, Crystal411316( B )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video416856Cartwright, Angela416120( C )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video420472Denver, Bob419544( D )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video420966Donahue, Elinor419544( D )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video421876Edwards, Anthony421742( E )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video423664Fox, Michael J422476( F )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video425190Glover, Crispin424172( G )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video427902Hickman, Dwayne426368( H )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video436574McKeon, Nancy434574( M )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video440362Packer, David440340( P )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video441780Plato, Dana440340( P )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video579526( H )579510Titles251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video387546011DVD387545011Format (binding)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video390120011Full Screen390118011Picture Format (format)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video405391011US & CA DVDs: Region 1405390011Region (feature_two_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video5620900111980 - 1989562084011Decade (feature_three_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video617866011English598208011Original Language (theme_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video671505011Standard Edition603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video643791011Grade Level (feature_five_browse-bin)643792011Preschool643793011Kindergarten643794011Elementary School643800011Middle & High School643808011College643809011Post-Graduate386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video671506011Audio Type (feature_six_browse-bin)671507011Digital Sound671508011Dolby671509011Surround Sound386709011Refinements130DVD139452VideoR1YTVYO3439Y2JThe 80's: A Comprehensive List of 80's Movies (Part 10)R2Q2SNWUQJS607Dana PlatoR318MQ9UC18J8Y80's Teen Comedy Movies Part 2R12JMBOA6MXD3WCrispin Glover's Funniest Films1BQTOJK4W75QDTINA LOUISE, DAWN WELLS, NATALIE SCHAFER5JVLM8Z6YAYXGilligan's Island Survival Kit1DQMYLF8RIAOLSelected Work of David PackerWB43VK47K53IBest of 80s nostaliga6AL68QAW4YL3Michael J.
