I remember that even Dice fans where saying that this movie blows. I remember seeing for the first time late 1999 and I liked it. I bought the DVD for a cheap price at a pawn shop and have seen it 5 times since then. Its a fun movie to watch. It amazes me how fans of Andrew Dice Clay could hate this movie. Its exactly what you would expect from a movie with him as the lead role.

Ford Fairlane(Andrew Dice Clay)is sent to find an idiotic groupie named Zuzu Petals(Maddie Corman) by a friend/shock jock named Johnny Crunch(Gilbert Gottfried). His search turns into a murder investigation after the Johnny Crunch gets electrocuted on air. Ford later gets caught in a web of corruption involving a slimy record executive named Julian Grendel(Wayne Newton), a sex scandal involving Julian's former wife Colleen Sutton(Priscilla Pressley) and a theatrical hit man named Smiley(played by Robert Englund with a silly British accent).

Yeah, I know the movie is kind of dopey and can be misogynistic at times but I like watching this movie. Andrew Dice Clay was hilarious in this movie. I like the banter between him and Ed O'Neil's character Lt Amos, a former disco artist of a defunct group called Disco Express. Ford gets into some pretty crazy situations in this movie but its cool to watch. Some of the funniest and coolest one-liners were in this movie. Its mostly comedy with a slice of satire on the music industry in the 90s. Directed by Renny Harlin the precursor to Michael Bay(dont get mad at me you said so yourself), The Adventures Of Ford Fairlane is better than most people give it credit for. It was a wild and fun ride that reminded you of what made 90s movie so cool. Its definitely better than The Adventures Of Pluto Nash and Hudson Hawk. If you're a fan of the Diceman then I dont see how you couldnt like this movie. Unless you have a ridiculous high standard for every movie you are about to watch, it couldnt hurt if you gave this one a try.B0000DD76S30A3VO8JQT6LVXZ1A3VO8JQT6LVXZ1Richard Ross02009-04-11Another Satisfied CustomerThe film itself is terrible but the Diceman and screenwriter Daniel Waters provide more than enough memorable one liners to make it good. Director Renny Harlin is a master at making dumb movies look great, and he does so here setting this modern film noir in Los Angeles. Ford Fairlane (Clay) is a rock n' roll detective who as he puts it "gets into the hottest clubs and the hottest chicks." He runs a struggling business with his hot assistant Jazz (Lauren Holly). When not nagging Ford about overdue bills Jazz pines for him. Desperate for money, Ford takes on the case of Johnny Crunch (Gilbert Gottfried). Crunch, a radio shock jock, is looking for his daughter Zuzu Petals (Maddie Corman). He thinks a man with Ford's connections is just who he needs to track her down. Unfortunately for Ford within minutes of landing his first paying client he watches as both Crunch and the money go up in flames . Ford lands on his feet when a beautiful woman named Colleen (Priscilla Presley) re hires him to track down Zuzu. As Ford's investigation takes him deeper into the music industry he tangles with a colorful group of characters that includes a scary hitman (Robert Englund), a rival cop (Ed O'Neil), and a corrupt record executive named Grendel (Wayne Newton). The film is funny as hell but slow. It looks good, there are dozens of brilliant cameos, and the Dice exudes macho charisma effortlessly. No matter how dumb things get whenever Dice launches into a bit and ends it with his patented "Ohhh" that's enough for me to laugh out loud and have a good time. This movie ROCKS. Well, maybe it does have your typical sophomoric humor, but it is very funny, no matter how many time you watch it. A lot of big name actors have big and not so big parts which add to the movie.

For Ford, being a rock and roll detective is not just a job, it is an adventure. Fun for the whole family. After all, Crunch was his only paying client! But here we have two great stars and a marvelous supporting cast in a guaranteed laugh-getter, perfect for parties. Morrow and Depp are at a Miami resort with their eyes on bikini-glad girls, but having the worst luck getting any in the sack. Depp ends up in hot water with a married woman while Morrow shares a bubble-bath with her husband, a gun-toting jewel thief. He's after a valuable diamond worn by a crazy karate-kicking grandmaw, but gets thrown out a window by her and beaten-up by everyone else. Lee02008-12-02Sorta funny, but mostly lameA very accurate testament to the 18 year old boy's mind, this movie's best feature is a shot of Johnny Depp's naked rear-end. It's one of those classically bad 80's movies that's filled with funny cliches (you will roll your eyes), corny characters, and an unpredictable and surprisingly complete plot makes you finish watching. When he's not busy hopping in and out of bed, Jack manages to get Ben into plenty of trouble.Amazon.comBikinis, breasts, and Johnny Depp's bare bottom are the selling points of archetypal teen sex comedy Private Resort. The plot has the purity of haiku: Two horny young men (Depp, Pirates of the Caribbean, Edward Scissorhands, and Rob Morrow, Northern Exposure, in his film debut) doggedly pursue scantily-clad women at a tropical vacation spot. Standing in their way are a bitter hotel detective and a jewel thief known as the Maestro (Hector Elizondo, Pretty Woman)--though his claim of mastery seems an overstatement; anyone expecting To Catch a Thief or The Thomas Crown Affair-style suavity will be sadly disappointed. Babes are ogled; breasts are exposed; bald middle-aged men are mocked as buffoons; and both Depp and Morrow strip naked, revealing pale posteriors--and, in Depp's case, a scrawny physique that would mortify any contemporary teen star. While this can't be called one of Depp's more nuanced performances, his trademark bemused nonchalance is already present in larval form. Ironically, given Depp's later reputation for soulfulness, Morrow is the sincere one who yearns for a sweet young waitress, while Depp is the cad who runs after anything with breasts (he refers to quaaludes as "the love drug" and "falls in love" with a girl who bends over in front of him in an aerobics class). Also featuring Andrew "Dice" Clay (The Adventures of Ford Fairlane) and Leslie Easterbrook (beloved from the Police Academy series). Discriminating cineastes will be happy to hear that Private Resort has been letterboxed, so the full frame of every shot can be fully appreciated. --Bret FetzerB00005R87RThe Man Who CriedB00000IRE6Nick of TimeB00004Z4WXDead ManB0009IOR6QCry Baby (Director's Cut)B0000VD04MEd Wood (Special Edition)163371General163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video291126Sex Comedies291103By Theme163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video14155071Vacations291103By Theme163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video163377Slapstick163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video413884Bowen, Michael411316( B )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video417946Clay, Andrew Dice416120( C )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video420492Depp, Johnny419544( D )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video421774Easterbrook, Leslie421742( E )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video422046Elizondo, Hector421742( E )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video425372Goodman, Dody424172( G )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video434038Longstreth, Emily432148( L )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video438296Morrow, Rob434574( M )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video446376Shepard, Hilary444858( S )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video453408Wynne, Christopher451116( W )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video454984Bowers, George454404( B )403502Directors251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video573628All Sony Pictures Titles516494Sony Pictures Home Entertainment468374Studio Specials251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video579542( P )579510Titles251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video12917411Today's Deals on DVD & Blu-ray44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video1265183011Movies & TV on DVD and Blu-ray Disc Trade-In44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video387546011DVD387545011Format (binding)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video388863011DVD Deals388861011Features & Promotions (special_merchandising_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video390121011Widescreen390118011Picture Format (format)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video405388011R405383011MPAA Rating (feature_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video5620900111980 - 1989562084011Decade (feature_three_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video617866011English598208011Original Language (theme_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video603123011Closed Caption603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video671505011Standard Edition603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video643791011Grade Level (feature_five_browse-bin)643792011Preschool643793011Kindergarten643794011Elementary School643800011Middle & High School643808011College643809011Post-Graduate386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video671506011Audio Type (feature_six_browse-bin)671507011Digital Sound671508011Dolby671509011Surround Sound386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video1288264011All product1267878011Products12678770111294451011Blu-ray & DVD1267878011Products12678770111297810011Blu-ray & DVD1294321011Just arrived1267879011Special Features1267877011RQWZK620P4BLZDivine Derrieres in FilmR2I2H58YC4729080s Teen Sex ComediesRE8DECD5YWB51Jumping on Johnny!!R1DL1DFN3DA7TUJOHHNY DEPP FilmsR1VT5DU12RCS09The 80's: A Comprehensive List of 80's Movies (Part 6)R3MVJK2B4KJ14C80's SEX COMEDIESR3W26GYKJLATRKMy Favorite GarbageR3C476XZKYWP25NAKED CELEBRITY!! RobertsHadrian12Battle Creek, Michigan United States02008-11-01Nothing casual here!80s teen-movie queen Lea Thompson and Saturday Night Live star Victoria Jackson star in this quaintly nostalgic film which addresses the efficacy of casual sex. The film is based on a play by the same name, and it came at an interesting juncture in history; the mid-80s saw the sexual revolution winding down & people were becoming more & more aware of the really nasty STDs being spread around - including the "brand new" one known as AIDS. This caused many people to do a lot of re-thinking about their nocturnal habits, and this is the focus of the present film.

Lea Thompson plays a promiscuous woman who finds herself examing her dangerous practices. She and her much-less sexually experienced friend (Jackson) take off to spend time at a health spa (another staple of the mid-80s!) to ensure that any men they happen to sleep with will be safe.

While there, they come across an ego maniac from Jersey (played by the venerable Andrew Dice Clay) who believes he knows what women want. Interestingly, all three characters go through some poignant transformations during the film.

The special features contain an alternate ending. I'm glad they didn't use it as it was very deus ex machina. That said, it's still worth viewing as Thompson is a knockout while wearing a wedding dress!

Some may argue that the regular ending is a bit contrived, but I would disagree. For me, it factored into the whole premise of the plot, which was that the mid-80s was a time in which people needed to look past sex & start thinking more about relationships. For me, the movie is actually trenchant in its portrayal of how life doesn't always turn out the way we think it will. People change, and occasionally they even improve upon what they were previously.

As Lea Thompson's #1 fan, I find it my duty to extol all of her movies. That said, this is a great 80s flick whether you're a big fan of her's or not. The fact that we get a few shots of both girls' posteriors is an added bonus, although the film shied away from having a whole lot of skin in it (despite several opportunities!). If you're looking for a Romantic Comedy that can also double as a satire, you can do a lot worse than this one!B00009IB1830A2ADZA4VT0OZJ9A2ADZA4VT0OZJ9Daniel EmersonJust meAll around02008-06-30SurprisedI missed this one when it first come out...so glade to have ran across it. The humour is derived from the experiences of two very different single girls and what happens to their lives after an eventful summer vacation.

Free-spirited Stacy (Lea Thompson) and her timid best friend Melissa (Victoria Jackson) each know the unique joys of casual sex--"This is kind of embarrassing to admit, but I remember when it was actually fun to say, "WOW, that really felt great! What's your name again?".

But when Stacy starts reading stories about the growing fear of AIDS, she ponders the loose way in which she has governed her sex-life. She and Melissa pack up and head to an exclusive health resort where they start exploring the idea of settling down with the perfect Mr. Right.

Based on the book by Wendy Goldman and Judy Toll, CASUAL SEX? is one of those classic 80's comedies where everyone seems to remember the movie poster, but not the film itself. That's a real shame, because the film still offers valuable opinions and ideas about dating and sex in a world where those activities hold very real dangers. That said, the movie is still hilariously funny, with Thompson and Jackson both incredibly-talented actresses who totally engage the audience with their thoughtful performances.

Co-starring Andrew 'Dice' Clay, Stephen Shellen, Mary Gross and Jerry Levine, CASUAL SEX? is a must for 80's movie lovers and those wanting to see a very intelligent romantic comedy about sexual mores in the decade where innocence was truly lost forever.

The DVD is stacked with a few worthwhile extras, like deleted scenes and an alternate ending. (Single-sided, dual-layer disc).B00009IB1813A107H3XGCV6Y4QA107H3XGCV6Y4QPaige TurnerFilm FanaticHawaii72006-03-05Predictable, Dumb and MoronicI can't believe a star of Lea Thompson's caliber or such a controversial comic like Andrew Dice Clay would agree to star in this film. It tries to make a dark humorous statement about AIDS in the 80s and fails. Dice-Clay's character is likeable, but your stereotypical Jersey guy, and I can't believe he agreed to recite such idiotic lines.
While the beginning of the film is ok, it quickly disintegrates into mindless dribble. I get this impression this film was targeted at the adolescent male audience, with lots of sex and some nudity thrown in for good measure. Predictable and formulaic, this tacky little film is not worth your money. What a shame that the talented cast of this film had to utter such stupid, inane dialogue. How amazing that such a ridiculous, badly written script was made into a movie.B00009IB1853A5HC89UVD4RM1A5HC89UVD4RM1CarlieFlorida32005-09-28Feelin' Hot! Hot! Hot!Stacy Hunter and Melissa Halpern are best friends that share a common problem: sex. Stacy is a fun, flirtacious, woman who is regretting her reckless sexual past. Melissa is a nice, down-to-earth Kindergarten teacher who has only slept with two men in her life, and wants "a nice guy".
Suggesting a vacation, the girls jet off to Oasis Health Spa, to look for healthy young men. There they meet Vinny,(Andrew Dice Clay) who automaticly sets his sights on Stacy. However, Stacy has her sights set on Nick (Stephen Shellen), a musician who works at the spa. Melissa also has her eye on someone, a therapist, Matthew (Peter Dvorsky). Melissa is not aware, however, that Jamie (Jerry Levine), a nutritionist, has a very big crush on her.
Mary Gross (Ilene), Valeri Breiman (Megan), David Sargent (Frankie), and others wind up this ensemble cast for one of the funnies comedies ever to be released. I am not a big fan of the "Dice Man", but this is probably the best acting he's ever done, and possibly the best film he's ever made. You won't be disppointed.
Product DescriptionTwo single women talk frankly about men while getting in shape at a health resort. Studio: Uni Dist Corp. (mca) Release Date: 09/28/2004 Starring: Lea Thompson Mary Gross Run time: 97 minutes Rating: R Director: Genevieve RobertAmazon.comNever have the 1980s felt so painfully time-warped. This 1988 movie, which was directed by Geneviève Roberts and adapted by Wendy Goldman and Judy Toll from their stage play, is proof as to why we've rarely heard their names again. Casual Sex? is an oxymoron of a title that chronicles the plight of two best-friends-since-childhood who are suffering from celibacy in the AIDS-addled '80s. One, Stacy (Lea Thompson), misses the easy promiscuity of the past though she longs for a guy who is a true friend. Melissa (Victoria Jackson from Saturday Night Live) has only had sex with two men--the second of whom was her fiancé, and she longs for her first orgasm. When they decide to take a holiday to the Oasis Spa in order to find some nice guys, they have little notion that they're about to find the wrong Mr. Right(s). Combine the tired premise with some asides to the screen (that probably worked better on stage) and a couple of role-playing fantasies, and Casual Sex? is proof that a movie on this topic might be written by women, but it still might not have anything new or groundbreaking to reveal. Casual Sex? ultimately pairs one of its protagonists with comic Andrew Dice Clay, who plays a Jersey thug named "The Vin Man," and it's embarrassing to watch him mug his way through the film. With such lines as "You and I have more in common now that we're both afraid of sex" and "Not being attracted to anybody scares me more than AIDS," viewers will wonder if these two have a brain in their heads at all. They ultimately come across as less than enlightened about sex and love and seem--along with the movie itself--more than a little desperate. --Paula NechakB000FZETKCSome Kind of Wonderful (Special Collector's Edition)B00005JKVCAll the Right MovesB00013WWT8Just One of the GuysB0012RWQJ8Mannequin & Mannequin 2: On the MoveB00004XMVADon't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead163371General163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video1693950114-for-3 All DVDs1081720114-for-3 DVD251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video409702Abbott, Bruce409682( A )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video414210Breen, Danny411316( B )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video417946Clay, Andrew Dice416120( C )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video421700Dvorsky, Peter419544( D )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video426088Gross, Mary424172( G )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video429434Jackson, Victoria429340( J )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video433422Levine, Jerry432148( L )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video437222Midkiff, Dale434574( M )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video446346Shellen, Stephen444858( S )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video449440Thompson, Lea448792( T )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video449484Thomson, Scott448792( T )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video14279381All Universal Studios Titles14279371Universal Studios Home Entertainment468374Studio Specials251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video14279411Comedy14279371Universal Studios Home Entertainment468374Studio Specials251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video579516( C )579510Titles251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video1240754011Romance163375Romantic Comedies163394Romantic Drama251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video387546011DVD387545011Format (binding)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video390121011Widescreen390118011Picture Format (format)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video405388011R405383011MPAA Rating (feature_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video405391011US & CA DVDs: Region 1405390011Region (feature_two_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video5620900111980 - 1989562084011Decade (feature_three_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video617866011English598208011Original Language (theme_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video603123011Closed Caption603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video603113011Dolby603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video671505011Standard Edition603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video643791011Grade Level (feature_five_browse-bin)643792011Preschool643793011Kindergarten643794011Elementary School643800011Middle & High School643808011College643809011Post-Graduate386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video671508011Dolby671506011Audio Type (feature_six_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452VideoR3AKS97Z5AG425Sexy MensR3B9I00CWIOO3MSOME KIND OF 80'sR35FG9BM4G5JMUThe Best 80's moviesRUZERRLL6DTRZThe Best of Minnesota - Actors, Writers, Producers, and DirectorsRI7WRCAB3N376MO's ULTIMATE CHICK FLICKS 80s-PRESENTRF6NG0DNB31G340 Funny Comedies with Saturday Night Live Stars3H08QHL1CZZR0DVD's I Own List TwoWB43VK47K53IBest of 80s nostaliga13GX9IN9I2F6TMy DVD Collection Pt. CRADDOCKCr@$#!!!!Bakersfield12009-01-28You like water? One Night at McCool's is a dark comedy that is pretty darn entertaining. Maybe it is just one long set up for a Village People gag, but it's fun to stay at the YMCA. They have assembled a very interesting cast, and everyone contributes, making the whole equal to more than the sum of its parts. The story is told like a Faulkner novel, from multiple viewpoints. It's Rashamon Time, as Randy the bartender (Matt Dillon); his cousin, the lawyer Carl Harding (Paul Reiser); and grieving widower Detective Dehling (John Goodman), all tell different versions of the events that happened One Night at McCool's. Each of the men have someone to tell their story to: Carl tells Dr. Green (Reba McEntire), Dehling tells Father Jimmy (Richard Jenkins), and Randy tells Mr. Burmeister (Michael Douglas), the hitman he has hired to take care of his "problem."

Randy's problem is Jewel Valentine (Liv Tyler), the woman he encountered One Night at McCool's. She has driven him, along with Carl and Detective Dehling, stark raving crazy. All she really wants is to have a nice house full of nice furniture and things, but what won't she do to get them? Or, what won't she make the men do?

Liv Tyler is well cast as a woman with the the power to drive men wild. She has a certain charisma, but at the same time she's kind of a dork. See Stealing Beauty for further evidence of her beautiful brand of dorkiness. Paul Reiser was best known for the sit com, "Mad About You," but One Night at McCool's gives him the opportunity to stretch his comedic envelope. Richard Jenkins, as Father Jimmy, turns in yet another brilliant character actor turn. He has finally gotten some recognition with an Oscar nomination for "The Visitor." As the lead, not supporting, Jack. John Goodman is a good man, Matt Dillon is always willin' to go that extra mile, and Michael Douglas is a hit as the hitman. And did I mention Andrew 'Dice' Clay in not one but two roles? Fugedaboutit! Four cast members have appeared in films with Kevin Bacon. One night at mccools-a steamy story with a dead body. Studio: Uni Dist Corp. (mca) Release Date: 01/06/2004 Starring: Liv Tyler Matt Dillon Run time: 93 minutes Rating: R Director: Harald ZwartAmazon.comA giddy attempt to combine a standard film noir plot and a contemporary sex farce about men who (to quote John Hiatt's song) let their little heads do the thinking, One Night at McCool's is a promising comedy that never hits full speed, coasting along amiably enough before spiraling into violence that clashes with its trashy sensibility. It's not as polished as Grosse Pointe Blank, but it's fun enough to recommend, especially for those who drool at the sight of Liv Tyler. The movie begins by suggesting that Liv is sexy, then proceeds to prove it, and then continually insists upon it until you're left with no choice but to wholeheartedly agree. It's an easy choice, but pity the movie's wretched guys for making it.
As bombshell Jewell Valentine, Tyler lures three guys into her criminal scheme of happy homemaking. Bartender Matt Dillon's the first to take the bait; as Dillon's lawyer cousin, Paul Reiser can't resist; and when murder complicates everything, detective John Goodman employs his own love-struck brand of chivalry. Sporting a tacky pompadour, Michael Douglas steals the show as a hit man hired to whack the scheming sexpot--and Andrew Dice Clay is surprisingly funny in a dangerous dual role--but of course Liv can hold her own. It's all quite amusing, but rarely is McCool's as funny as you hope it will be; the dialogue by Stan Seidel (who sadly died before filming completed) is zesty enough but lacks the Coenesque punch that would kick it over the top. It hardly matters, though; with a femme fatale like Liv in control, the movie's faults will be easily forgiven. --Jeff Shannon B00005QZ7WStealing BeautyB000056BSFInventing the AbbottsB001JIE7JCBurn After ReadingB001H5X7I4Tropic ThunderB001PPLIEGQuantum of Solace163371General163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video720556Black Comedy163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video726184Dangerous Attraction291147Love & Romance291103By Theme163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video291194Comic Criminals163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video722787011General AAS541980Crime512030Mystery & Suspense404276Genres130DVD139452Video1081760114-for-3 Comedy1081720114-for-3 DVD251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video1693950114-for-3 All DVDs1081720114-for-3 DVD251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video412606Bendewald, Andrea411316( B )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video417946Clay, Andrew Dice416120( C )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video420746Dillon, Matt419544( D )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video421146Douglas, Michael419544( D )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video425378Goodman, John424172( G )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video429796Jenkins, Richard429340( J )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video436358Mcentire, Reba434574( M )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video443202Reiser, Paul442578( R )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video450364Tyler, Liv448792( T )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video14279381All Universal Studios Titles14279371Universal Studios Home Entertainment468374Studio Specials251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video14279411Comedy14279371Universal Studios Home Entertainment468374Studio Specials251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video355655011All Titles350735011Focus Features468374Studio Specials251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video357500011Action & Adventure350735011Focus Features468374Studio Specials251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video357492011Comedy350735011Focus Features468374Studio Specials251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video579540( O )579510Titles251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video387546011DVD387545011Format (binding)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video390121011Widescreen390118011Picture Format (format)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video405388011R405383011MPAA Rating (feature_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video405391011US & CA DVDs: Region 1405390011Region (feature_two_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video5620920112000 & Newer562084011Decade (feature_three_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video617866011English598208011Original Language (theme_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video603123011Closed Caption603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video603113011Dolby603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video671505011Standard Edition603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video643791011Grade Level (feature_five_browse-bin)643792011Preschool643793011Kindergarten643794011Elementary School643800011Middle & High School643808011College643809011Post-Graduate386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video671508011Dolby671506011Audio Type (feature_six_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452VideoR19XWOKPB3WVL9Quirky moviesR3AZ6KMDPA70QFsexiest moviesR1QEUU0NWWSSLKFocus Features Films: 101RXV0OPT6IUUFNmatt dillonR2XUDFZUR5EEC3Films That Should Be In Your Collection ( 3 of 4 )3INT6AZ2YDUGZLiv Tyler on DVD2J745L91NDXYZFocus Features2QVZY8HT1Y4H4Laughing Out Loud1G611HIU7FSMKMovies of ONE: II2HEQ1UE2JCH9NSize Does Not Matter! YoussefsurfurAlameda, CA02008-03-04Has some moments. I liked the opening musical number. But... actually, after that... YUCCCCCHHHHH!by Dane Youssef

Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence, Bill Cosby, Bernie Mac, Darryl Hugley, Jerry Seinfeld, Steve Harvey. What do they all have in common?

They are all stand-up comedians who have had the honor of having their stand-up acts get filmed into movies.

"Dice Rules" is one of the few to actually make it to theaters. And with good reason. Dice is one of those comedians who has a strong persona and stage presence. As a matter of fact, that's stronger than any of his material.

The very beginning of the flick where the Diceman croons is almost worth the rental price. He has such pipes, you kind of wish he actually put more use into them. He did a first-rate job in his first (and only) Hollywood star-vehicle "The Adventures of Ford Fairlane" where he sings "But I Ain't' Got You." He does the same here with an opening bit "Can't You Take A Joke?" But before we're treated to the main course (Dice in a sold-out concert at Madison Square Garden), we get an appetizer. You know, so these things feel more like an actual movie than just some tape-recorded stand-up bit.

The opening clip entitled "A Day In The Life" features a cock-and-bull prologue about who he was (Andrew Silverstein) before he became "The Diceman." Eddie Murphy has a brilliant one in his stand-up movie "Raw," and Martin Lawrence had an effective one at the beginning of "Runtelldat" where the press is airing out Lawrence's dirty laundry and kicking him when he's down on his knees.

That quickie movie in "Dice Rules," is the biggest abomination and folly since Napoleon and Waterloo. Dice has NEVER been this unfunny. Has anyone?

The Jerry Lewis vocalizations are painfully annoying. Not just annoying really, but actual torture. Like bamboo under the fingernails or death by a thousand cuts. I know he's know for that s--t (he's known for breaking into on occasion), but it irritates to the point that we feel like we're being interrogated. The people antagonizing his a--, riding him like a damn pogo stick, until he's ready to break. It's so horribly done. It's not even so bad, it's funny. It's more like... unforgivable. And the payoff (I can't believe I just used that term), is so patronizing, it's the most offensive thing in the whole movie. Not the goddamn stand-up material.

I read right here on IMDb that the whole "Diceman" character was largely inspired by Jerry Lewis in "The Nutty Professor." Fine, but that mock Lewis voice is excruciating. And the other actors are just as bad. Well... almost as bad.

Good Lord, and he wrote this bit? I was so sick, I couldn't even vomit.

Then this mini-colonoscopy ends and we're treated to centerpiece. The minute we see the Diceman pull on his luxurious studded trademark leather jacket, we know something big is happening. As if Elvis himself has resurrected and is performing for one night only. Perhaps for them, it is.

His impersonation of an Italian accent is so thick, you could choke on it. It's a miracle he doesn't.

The weirdest thing about the film is the audience members in concert. The audience doesn't stay quiet while he tells his jokes and then laugh when the punch line comes. They spend almost every second throughout the film cheering. Every time he opens his mouth, every time he says something---anything--the audience cheers like mad. Hell, every time he finishes a sentence (even before he actually even begins to make a point), the whole damn crowd gives him a standing ovation.

Jesus, throughout the whole damn movie, the cheering never stops. Dice may the star here, but it feels like we hear the damn crowd more than him. I... I must confess, I actually someone to start heckling them. I wanted to start throwing tomatoes at the crowd.

Remember the "Seinfeld" episode where Jerry gets heckled by Kramer's girlfriend, so Jerry, in retaliation, goes to where she works to heckle her? Yeah, I wanted to grab every one of them and scream, "Hey, idiots! You're in awe of the Dice, I can see that, but I can't hear HIM! DAMN!

Oh, and you know that whole "Jerry Lewis" vocal shtick I was talking about? Yeah, he keeps doing it throughout the whole movie. Whenever he's impersonating someone else, especially some woman. Lord, it makes you want to kill. Him.

Dice's usual subjects---women, sex, homosexuals, New Yorkers, the elderly, the ill. Hell, birds and insects, even. I gotta admit, I laughed at that. Damn freaking' birds & insects.

Still, as a stand-up concert film, this one's kind of a strike-out. The opening bit is too dumb and horrible to inspire anyone to do anything, but feel pain. And the rest of the stand-up, well... if you're a Dice fanatic (and you damn well who you are), then well.. hit-and-miss.

Dice is polarizing. You love the MF or you want him dead. There's no middle ground.

So, if you are reading these words right now... this review, and ANY of the other registered user reviews on IMDb for this one... that means that...

A)Youv'e been wanting to see this movie since you first fell in love with Dice. But it's been hard to find, especially on DVD. Not exactly "Casablanca."

B)You already have and you're just curious to see what others had to say about it.

Otherwise, you'll give yourself rabies, beat yourself to death, swallow fire (and more) before you even glance at one frame at anything related to Dice.

Still, "Ford Fairlane" continues to be his best work. I'd like to see Silverman actually cut a whole album full of music with himself on vocals and maybe push back for a while on the possibility of another comedy album anytime soon.

[...]B0001FVDHI51A1DUHWBF9C193LA1DUHWBF9C193LCarly TkaczSA, Australia22007-03-09Funniest thing Ive seen in YearsThis DVD was hilarious... funniest thing Ive watched in a long time!! KNOW IT ALL ;-bDR SHOCKTRI STATE AREA02007-07-14A LONG FORGOTTEN 80'S COMEDY! WELCOME HOME!I had not seen this comedy for at least 20 years, before watching this last night. I was surprised how many little moments I remembered, but did not realize they were from this movie! The film starts out a little cheesy, but does pick up once the premise has been set up. The movie feature Andrew "Dice" Clay in a small, but important role. Dice pulls off a couple of funny impressions of Travola and Pacino and plays his "Dice Man" to the hilt. I like the movie because it has not been over played and it does have it's moments. The cast is good, there is a little twist on the same old story and you gotta love that generic 80's music! The DVD transfer looks good.B00005N89P40A36NUDST4Y5JBAA36NUDST4Y5JBAD. S. HARDENa movie fanL.A.,CA USA02006-11-23Making the Grade...Along with another reviewer, I saw this movie on cable back in the 80's. I also enjoyed this flick (though I don't really remember why!). The price is right for cheap laughs. Four stars!B00005N89P30AK8OJEDCUP7DAK8OJEDCUP7DCabaretjunkeeTori LedfordMemphis, Tennessee USA02005-05-27BORN & RAISED IN MEMPHISI have somewhat of a fondness for really cheesy, yet really gutsy, low-budget films. Basically if most people don't like it, I probably will. I love the 1980s Judd Nelson "bad-boy" image, and he's pretty sexy as a yuppie, too. I also love the fat, quiet, geeky character, played by Dan Schnieder (also a Memphis-native). This movie hit home for me, because it was filmed at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. My mom lives just down the street from there! Call me cheesy, if you must. I think this film is great, although probably for nostalgia more than anything.B00005N89P40A9MO1WIGT7ICTA9MO1WIGT7ICTNotoriousSEGreviewer at largeparkersburg, wv02005-04-18"Preppy" is not a fad, its a state of mind.It has been said that there is nothing new under the sun. In fact, it has been postulated that in the entirety of the cosmos, there exists no more than 135 comedy "situations". Making the Grade makes use of number 97--"the old switcheroo". Poor kid and rich kid trade places and mirth ensues. Period. The rest of the "plot" is incidental. In the case of this particular movie, classes collide at an uppercrust prep school and it becomes painfully obvious that this film's entire raison d'etra is to pander to a generation of Lisa Birnbach desciples who think the "preppy" culture is a fad.

In general, the acting is lackluster--with the one shining exception of Dan Schnieder, sadly now known as "the fat kid" from Head of the Class. Production values are practically non-existant. The movie does feature a few notable one-liners that raise a chuckle or two, but thats about it.

The irony is, I love this film! I liken Making the Grade to the popular wedding hors d'oeuvre, Rumaki. I hate chicken liver, I hate water chestnuts and I am only marginal about bacon--but I love Rumaki! Go figure. This movie strikes me in the same way--I despise most of the ingredients, but I can view the outcome over and over.

All in all, Making the Grade fulfills all the requirements I seek in a movie: i.e. it entertains. As an added bonus, it takes me back to a time when the collar on my pink polo shirt stood straight up and I wore penny loafers with bermuda shorts.

In this day and age, $13 bucks doesn't buy much, but you will get some good bang for your buck with this little cinematic investment. Trust me.DescriptionHigher education flies right off the comedy curve in this hilarious fun-fest loaded with "real out-loud laughs" (Los Angeles Times)! Judd Nelson (The Breakfast Club, St. Elmo's Fire) is "well cast and likeable" (Los Angeles Times) in this "splendidly played" (Variety) film that scores top marks for reading, rioting and rock 'n' roll! Palmer Woodrow III (Dana Olsen) has everything money can buy except a high school diploma. And when his parents threaten to cut him off unless he graduates, Palmer decides he'd rather party in Parisand hire young hustler Eddie Keaton (Nelson) to attend a prestigious prep school in his place! Short on cash and long on debt, Eddie is glad to do it, if just to get away from his bookie, the dangerous Diceman (Andrew Dice Clay). Disguised as the perfect preppy, Eddie easily fools the faculty, charms the coedsand rocks the campus! But when the Diceman tracks him down, streetwise Eddie must keep his cover tostay in school or go back to the 'hood for good!B00013WWT8Just One of the GuysB000FWHW72From the HipB00049QJBGPrivate SchoolB0010AN7XQZapped!B00004Y6C2Tuff Turf163371General163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video291110Assumed Identity291103By Theme163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video291115Class Differences291103By Theme163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video291159Comedy of Errors291103By Theme163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video291190School Days163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video417946Clay, Andrew Dice416120( C )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video421718Dye, John419544( D )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video430446Jump, Gordon429340( J )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video432192Lacey, Ronald432148( L )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video436412McGinnis, Scott434574( M )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video439006Nelson, Judd438726( N )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video439948Olkewicz, Walter439610( O )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video595276All MGM Titles468384MGM Home Entertainment468374Studio Specials251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video579536( M )579510Titles251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video387546011DVD387545011Format (binding)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video390121011Widescreen390118011Picture Format (format)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video405388011R405383011MPAA Rating (feature_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video405391011US & CA DVDs: Region 1405390011Region (feature_two_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video5620900111980 - 1989562084011Decade (feature_three_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video617866011English598208011Original Language (theme_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video603123011Closed Caption603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video603113011Dolby603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video671505011Standard Edition603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video643791011Grade Level (feature_five_browse-bin)643792011Preschool643793011Kindergarten643794011Elementary School643800011Middle & High School643808011College643809011Post-Graduate386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video671508011Dolby671506011Audio Type (feature_six_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452VideoR2K6MBIMR4HTF5The 80's: A Comprehensive List of 80's Movies (Part 7)R318MQ9UC18J8Y80's Teen Comedy Movies Part 2R3VOY2TF7BWRXYnuthin but eighties 232AKWYUSN7A7Pfifteen good movies you may have missed the first time1VG5MW2U8VHIBeyond John Hughes: Great 80s movies you may have missed1G867TCFZ998HJABB's Gift List- VHS and DVD2035CSJLXHN6K80's Teen Movies for Post-80's Teens2MB2CGNZSLZBBGreat 80's Coming of Age Movies not directed by John HughesB00004YKS9http://www.amazon.com/My-5-Wives-Rodney-Dangerfield/dp/B00004YKS9%3FSubscriptionId%3D1DWXK7HJTP76664KT902%26tag%3Dws%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB00004YKS918021http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/512FNH8YJ3L._SL75_.jpg7550http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/512FNH8YJ3L._SL160_.jpg160107http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/512FNH8YJ3L.jpg475317http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/512FNH8YJ3L._SL30_.jpg3020http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/512FNH8YJ3L._SL75_.jpg7550http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/512FNH8YJ3L._SL160_.jpg160107http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/512FNH8YJ3L.jpg475317Rodney DangerfieldAndrew Dice ClayJohn BynerMolly ShannonJerry Stiller1.77:1R (Restricted)DVDMY 5 WIVES (DVD MOVIE)Sidney J. I think it was his last really funny story about a man with
the "problem" of inheriting five wives. Lots of ab libbing. I found this movie by chance as I do not remember it in theaters but is a real find if you are a Rodney fan. He always puts smile on me even when he says nothing at all. And have to say I relate to his practical thinking many times. A good clean comedy the whole family can enjoy!
I think he was one of the best comedians of our time. HowesNickH6Nashville, IL USA02008-02-24Who Can Dislike Rodney DangerfieldRodney slows down in this apparently direct-to-video movie, but it's an amusing take on the always-popular guy-who-inherits-bunch-of-babes plotline. Here, Rodney is a would-be ski lodge builder who finds that to buy some Utah mountain property for his lodge, he has to adopt the local splinter Mormon beliefs. That somehow includes taking three wives, and they become five. He gets some tired gags out of how he has to bed these five beauties, then he takes them to Las Vegas, they quickly become liberated at a seminar, and help save Rodney from a couple smalltown hustlers including a banker played by John Byner, fronting for a mob guy played by Andrew Dice Clay, who wants the property for his uncle, played by Jerry Stiller. Lots of Dangerfield gags, many of them heard many times before, a chase scene in which Rodney's double bests the bad guys, and all turns out well in the end. Lightweight Dangerfield, but, heck, I like the guy and it's among the better of his lesser efforts. You could ask ten different people what they think is funny and get at least eight different answers if you decide not to get too detailed about it. For instance, my 14 year-old niece loves Rob Schneider and David Spade. As for myself, I can't stand the two.

Which brings me to Andrew Dice Clay. I'm not going to write him off as worthless because the potential existed for even him to be a good stand up comedian. I remember at one of his concerts he did spot on imitations of Robert Deniro, Al Pacino, Eric Roberts, and John Travolta. During this particular concert, all that potential is flushed down the toilet.

At the time this was filmed, his dubious fame had already peaked and his popularity was well on the downhill slope. His film The Adventures of Ford Fairlane flopped big time and he became the first major entertainer to be banned for life from MTV, or eMpTyV as I prefer to call it. It wouldn't be unusual for someone to harbor some resentment.

Of course, that's the whole problem with No Apologies - too much anger. Instead of telling jokes, he is basically berating the audience with sexually explicit diatribes. It seems as if he was far less concerned about making people laugh than he was about offending them. There's a thin line between giving the people what they want and giving the critics what they hate. All Dice did here was rub the former the wrong way and confirm the feelings of the latter. About ten minutes into this, I just wanted to stand up and say, "Stop it, you're embarassing yourself."

The biggest problem I had with it myself was how he insulted Midwesterners. At least I expected the sexual material, but my mind is still boggled by this blatant bigotry. At the beginning, Dice refers to himself as "the original blue-collar comedian" (I'm paraphrasing here). Yet later in the show he goes on a hate filled rant about people in the Heartland. The details of which I'm not going to get into, and you as a reader are better off not knowing. To make a long story short, it's a slap in the face to all the fans in Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, and all the other blue-collar Midwesterners who supported Dice from when he was a struggling comic. I expected better, even from the Diceman.

It's not that I hate dirty mouth comedians and only love clean ones. George Carlin and the late Richard Pryor will forever be legends according to me. I also find the work of conservative, Christian comedian Brad Stine to be smug, obnoxious, and criminally unfunny even if he does keep it clean. I only expect one thing from my comedians - make me laugh. That did not happen with me here, and chances are, it won't happen with you either.B00004U29Y59A360DJQT54TOEBA360DJQT54TOEBWolfgang LiebertFrankfurt, Germany142005-10-25Diceman at its bestAndrew "Dice" Clay (né Andrew Silverstein) in one of his best appearances. Even better than the hilarious Dice Rules! However he claims to make fun of everybody cursing spics, japs, chinks midgets, handicapped etc. Still I have yet to hear a kike joke from him.

Anyway, this DVD is a must for the fan of his raunchy type of hunor.B00004U29Y27A1D7BF6C3K98KWA1D7BF6C3K98KWjasonrwhittonFresno, CA United States102004-01-09Not very good overall.Andrew Dice is more pissed off and obnoxious this time around, and not very funny..There are a few decent laughs but overall its nothing compared to his best show from 1989 'The Diceman Cometh'. I've watched Cometh countless times but I actualy had a hard time finishing a single viewing of No Apologies.B00004U29Y410A37TFG3PNKCTKJA37TFG3PNKCTKJjohnnyitalian@aol.comBergen County, NJ USA102003-11-04Get Ova Here!!! Ohhhh!!!My girlfriend says that when I am drunk, I get loud, obnoxious and just plain stupid. That being said, I think The Diceman must kick back a few drinks before doing his leather jacket clad cigarette smoking filled routine. Otherwise, he's one hell of an actor. His jokes cover everything from women to racism--done in a shock value style long before Eminem was offending everyone and everything. If you wanna see foul mouthed, politically incorrect dialogue delivered by a Jewish goomba from Brooklyn who could just as easily have had a career like Stallone or Travolta (both of whom he imitates to a T along with Elvis and many others), than Dice is your guy. Dice was hugely controversial in the late 80's and early 90's and if I recall he even tried to clean up his act and make a few unfunny family sitcoms. But this is what he does best, and he has since rebounded with a live show out in Vegas and more comedy CDs. If you like Rodney Dangerfield, Joe Pesci and comic geniuses like them, you will enjoy The Diceman. If you are offended by his schtick you need to lighten up. The guy aint the best of all time, but he thinks he is, and that's what makes him cool.B00004U29Y212A19XM1W2BI7EV8A19XM1W2BI7EV8M. BeneventiKillerBumbleBeeDallas, TX United States162001-08-03Dice Rolls Snake EyesI ordered this DVD because I couldn't find a DVD of my favorite Dice Clay video - The Diceman Cometh. This act was [...] crap compared to his earlier material. He has replaced the many moments of wit and humor (yes, I'm talkin' about Dice) with simple juvenile crudeness. Now, I can deal the nastiest of the nasty, as long as there is some humor involved, but F-word, C-words, etc... are not particularly funny unto themselves. It looks like Dice just dug the "shock" value of his rep and ran with that. What is worse (at least on my copy) is the SOUND. I guess it was recorded thru the telephone!!! Some of the words I could not even figure out. There are a couple decent moments which might be worth [$], but my time is more valuable than that!B0001FVDHIAndrew Dice Clay - Dice Rules!B00008PHCWOne Night with DiceB0000DD76SThe Adventures of Ford FairlaneB00004X0PWFace Down, Ass Up6301945123Andrew Dice Clay Live: The Dice Man Cometh [VHS]163371General163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video722748011General AAS893514Stand-Up163357Comedy404276Genres130DVD139452Video722783011General AAS508528Musicals & Performing Arts404276Genres130DVD139452Video1081760114-for-3 Comedy1081720114-for-3 DVD251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video1693950114-for-3 All DVDs1081720114-for-3 DVD251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video417946Clay, Andrew Dice416120( C )404278Actors & Actresses251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video579512( A )579510Titles251273011Custom Stores44261011Specialty Stores130DVD139452Video387546011DVD387545011Format (binding)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video405384011Unrated405383011MPAA Rating (feature_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video405391011US & CA DVDs: Region 1405390011Region (feature_two_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video5620910111990 - 1999562084011Decade (feature_three_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video617866011English598208011Original Language (theme_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video603113011Dolby603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video671505011Standard Edition603112011Special Editions (feature_four_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video643791011Grade Level (feature_five_browse-bin)643792011Preschool643793011Kindergarten643794011Elementary School643800011Middle & High School643808011College643809011Post-Graduate386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video671508011Dolby671506011Audio Type (feature_six_browse-bin)386709011Refinements130DVD139452Video1ZF3XGSWVVN01Hairy-Chested (aka "Hirsute") Entertainers2WKB34LHZI5VXSTAND UP39S58RQ9PXM4OSTAND UP COMEDY!!3CMUN1C3OMEQISTAND UP COMEDY3MXXY7OYK0EH0COMEDIANSB00005QCVRhttp://www.amazon.com/Foolish-Eddie-Griffin/dp/B00005QCVR%3FSubscriptionId%3D1DWXK7HJTP76664KT902%26tag%3Dws%26linkCode%3Dxm2%26camp%3D2025%26creative%3D165953%26creativeASIN%3DB00005QCVR67900http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51S3AGEQ33L._SL75_.jpg7550http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51S3AGEQ33L._SL160_.jpg160106http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51S3AGEQ33L.jpg475316http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51S3AGEQ33L._SL30_.jpg3020http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51S3AGEQ33L._SL75_.jpg7550http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51S3AGEQ33L._SL160_.jpg160106http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51S3AGEQ33L.jpg475316Eddie GriffinMaster PAmie PetersenFrank SiveroDaphne Duplaix1.33:1R (Restricted)DVDLions GateDave Meyers0012236116257ColorDVDFull ScreenNTSCEnglishOriginal LanguageDolby Digital 2.0 SurroundEnglishSubtitled998USD$9.98Lions GateIVED11625D11999-01-015871018542DVDABIS_DVDLions Gate12001-08-1484Lions Gate1999Foolish012236116257447USD$4.47180USD$1.8018260011ATVPDKIKX0DERhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/help/seller/home.html?seller=ATVPDKIKX0DER0.00NewnewnZum2B1zd7hgCeodewkAEbUZW9YbW4mqsy5Aj9HF3U9qT1H99ElLq2lAtFbv5N%2BTY015AkTCd2eOZB%2BuATOziw%3D%3D998USD$9.98Usually ships in 24 hoursnow00-113.0143B00005QCVR20A3PCTD8QM1BIXIA3PCTD8QM1BIXIDerrick DunnThe Realest DJWoodbridge,VA02008-04-08Good try No Limit, Foolish is a decent flick from No Limit Films. M. Andersonsma331Lithia Springs, GA42004-12-03This movie is not good at all. I was foolish for renting this film. I like Eddie Griffin, he is talented, and funny so I was kind of hoping it would be kind of decent. Huge mistake!!! This is NOT a must see movie. The only thing you can do is leave this film on the shelves.
Master P really needs to give up the acting dream. Either give it up or take some lessons!!! He is a dull and unemotional as an actor. It's painful to watch. The movie is about two brothers overcoming their differences and eventually coming together for a common goal. Master P wants Foolish to do comedy at his club he is opening.

Andrew Dice Clay has a forgettable cameo appearance in the movie. The talented supporting cast really wasted their acting chops in this film (Marla Gibbs as their grandmother, Bill Nunn, Jr. Bill Duke and Clifton Powell). This movie has a weak story line. I have a sense of humor, but I need for my movies to entertain me in all aspects and this movie does not do that. This movie tried to do too much. It tired to funny, dramatic and it did not work. It was like trying to mix and oil and water in this film.

Save yourself the trouble and rent or purchase Dysfunktional Family. A lot of the jokes Eddie G does in this film he will do in Dysfunktional Family. In fact even My Babies Daddy (Eddie G stars in that as well) is better then Foolish, and even that movie was not all that great, but I laughed while watching that, and hardly even chuckled while watching Foolish. After you sit through this movie all you will do is hold your head saying ugggghhhhhh!! I've seen it, and I will never watch this movie again. I won't be foolish twice.

Rent these movies with Eddie Griffin instead:
1. My Babies Daddy
2. Dysfunktional Family
3. Miles "Foolish" Waise (Griffin) is a fast-rising phenomenon on the local comedy nightclub scene. While his manager wants him to sell out and make the big bucks, Foolish just wants to chill out and make his audiences happy. He's also got to put up with the half-baked schemes of his always-scammin' brother Quentin "Fifty Dollah" Waise (Master P) - a small-time hoodlum whose secret dream is to start a comedy club with Foolish.
